Crafting for October Table Top sale

This was the hat/round storage box that I got at a low price from one of the charity shops and although it had been covered nicely in zodiac style paper and varnished, the top was badly faded so it had to be recovered inside and out. Now I had to removed a lot of the layers from the rim of the box or if I had made it thicker, then it wouldn't have closed down over the top of the box, so in the process of doing the rim at the moment. Some of the wallpaper I found in the understairs cupboard has a material look to it, so using that and work so far:-

I reckon this mask looks suitably scary:-

Finished covering the box and this evening just want to add a trim of black lace around the top outer edge of the lid to match the carrying cord:-

Thanks ladies for those remarks and I did finish the box lid with lace trimming and will put a photo on here later of the finished item and try and remember to take a photo of the finished trug.

Well surprising as it may seem Jean, none of the latest items sold, but we sold heaps of our other crafted items and need to get cracking again, probably with Christmas style things in mind. I expect I will be able to sell the masks for Halloween at one of our clubs.

Here are the photos of the box trimming. Not as clear as they should be, but took them in a hurry and in the end didn't use black trim, but a lace that matched the colour of the paper I had used:-

Fairly late last evening I was pressing that lace down with a rolling pin .
