My name is Pauline Touati, born 6/3/1942. Lived in London until age 35.  Went to Catford County School for Girls and took GCE exams there.  Started work in secretarial jobs in London Bridge, West End and Holborn areas and specialised in secretarial legal work and engineering.  After marrying Brian (who worked in electronic engineering) we bought a shop in Tooting - newsagents, confectioners, tobacconist, groceries, frozen foods, stationery and green grocery outside and after 13 years of running that we moved to Northampton where Brian went back to electronic engineering and I did several different jobs since living in Northampton, including still some legal secretarial work.  Two children. Stephen born 1968 in Lewisham Hospital and  Susanne (she changed that to Susie) in St George's in 1978.  Moved to Northampton in 1979 before Stephen was due to start in senior school.  4 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.  Susie's oldest daughter Aimie (25 in August and whose partner is Sean) is now mother to my two great grandsons, Hunter 3yrs and Kylian 3 months old, then there is Mia 19, Kai 13 and Cas 6.  That side of the family are in the Northampton area, but Stephen and his partner Rachel live in Rugby where he runs his own business - delivering and installing slate bed snooker and pool tables among other things (bit of a specialist job), Rachel is a manager of a company that train and find jobs for people and there are her 2 children Beth 18 who is waiting for exam results and hoping to get to Warwick Uni (her boyfriend is Sam in an apprenticeship as an electrician) and Ralph 15.  Divorced twice, plus a long term relationship, but now very happily living on my own.

I see a lot of the family and have some good friends, closest to where I live are Gennie and Maria.  Unfortunately Gennie hasn't been well over the last 18 months and the three of us originally started doing table top sales to raise funds for different charities, but these days it is only Maria and I that can do that and the sales take place in our local shopping centre, so a lot of time is taken up collecting and crafting items for these sales.  I enjoy gardening and some DIY, craft work, reading, music, of course using the computer and keeping in touch with you all, going to a club on a Monday and also a Wednesday and on some outings arranged with them.  Holidays with the family and weekends with them.  Like the dramas and soaps on tv and prefer to buy DVDs and watch films at home rather than going to the cinema.  Enjoy meeting up with some of the ladies from the group who live nearest, together with my friends.

Think that gives you some idea about meLets introduce ourselves and tell other members about us. Me_for12
