Managed to get the garden furniture sorted and the gazebo up today. That table actually seats 10, besides 6 chairs there are 4 stools and it all closes down so all cushions are under cover. Bought the water weights for the bottom of the gazebo poles this year and hope they weigh it down enough and it doesn't take off in any high winds.

Thank you ladies for those kind remarks and yes the weights have worked well Dian, but did decide that the metal poles could still slip through the plastic weights and leave their metal feet behind, so had a think and remembered that when I did the sort out of all of the sewing items I had a bag of shoulder pads (that once used to be in fashion and got removed from clothing) and doubled them in two and put either side of each pole and tightened up the plastic screws again that hold both sides of the weights together and they have worked a treat - I knew I hung onto those useless shoulder pads for a reason . Today also altered that display around a bit and put the grasses apart and added another couple of planters to the display that I had finished.

Well I struggled on in the rain for as long as I could and all gardening clothes went into the washing machine - even the shoes and gardening gloves and went up for a hot bath - proves I am not a fairweather gardener .
Here are some photos and now looking tidier, but very bare:-
First two are an example of those already done for the Winter and the last one I hate to disturb at the moment because it is still so colourful with those summer flowers.
Site is telling me I can't put on any further photos in this post, so will do another one.

This next photo shows that the roses are still blooming, despite me cutting them back in places and the Japanese Anemones still looking good:-
Here is the wind spinner I purchased the other week:-
A similar photo I put on here previously, but have altered the planters around a little bit and have been working alongside them today:-
and now to the next post as I can only put on 3 photos at a time on here.

I see I lost the colour, style and size of the fonts with the photo descriptions in the post above and lets see what happens now - see I have lost the green colour now. Showing the bamboo edging that looks a bit wonky at the moment, but will look okay when the plants shoot up in the Spring over it and these sections are done:-
One of my delphiniums showing for a second time in that last photo.

First photo shows the bed by the patio which has been widened and is finished and that is the view I get from the dining room. As I come across the marigolds I am transferring them to that long planter for a while, because they continue flowering usually into November or later if the frost doesn't get at them and they are so colourful (some of the lobelia I have shoved in there too):-
That lot of shelving almost emptied now, so getting through quite a bit of clearing:-
and these fuchsias are still doing well - some have been cut back ready and will have to deal with them soon and cover them with the fleece and hope they survive through the Winter and I did manage quite a few last year:-

Last lot of photos now and the first one shows the end bed which is getting tidied and you can see at one end I have transplanted one lot of Day Lilies and am going to transplant some Phlox into it. The second and third photos shows the plants having been dug up and the third one the mess I was getting in and the hole dug for some of the Phlox at the back and I did complete that section and got one lot of Phlox and the Red Hot Poker, plus decided there was room for another lot of Day Lilies and I left that in a much tidier state than I was :-

Latest ones taken today and no further gardening until I come home, then got to finish off the back, see to all of the foliage again (done the other week, but still growing) along the inside and outside of the side fence, see to the bed at the side of the house and then completely do the front garden - so quite a bit more to do.
Well I did get that section finished last night where the holes were being dug and the first one shows that and the other two the continuation down that side bed with the edging now in place. That is supposed to be grass in front of the edging, but reckon I have worn it out for the time being and it is now a mud patch

I wish I could find a way of putting more than 3 photos on at a time, so here we go with another post. First photo is another view of that bed taken from further down the garden, 2nd one shows all of the fuchsias grouped together ready for winter fleece (don't reckon there will be any frost while we are away, or hope not) and 3rd one showing the rockery that I have to work on when I get home - I did redesign the rocks at the start of it (out of view in this photo, but looking good)

Lastly the end bed still to be worked on, but you can see I got some more transplanting done into it last evening and second one shows the number of tubs that have got to be moved from that corner near the back gate and sorted - another job to do when I return.
Thankfully now for a week away from the work to recharge the batteries and get some energy back .
