Rita the carpet men will not be here at least for another two weeks. it takes 14 days for the carpet to get to the store. David is driving me mad worrying about where things
will go, so I said in the shed......have to undo the tv and dvd and virgin, and he is worrying about that as well, said I will Pay for them to be put back and of course he
cannot do much. this morning I cleared out two more drawers and it is all piling up in the dining room.
Sorry to hear you have been ill Pauline, being sick is awful, goodness knows what I had last week for three days.
the dentist phoned back and said not to go down there if I can manage it, I am not in any pain, because of the virus.
Hope Dian is having a nice time in the caravan

Hope it has been better weather for Dian in the caravan with her family and think it has been okay for Stephen and Rachel in Cornwall (they are on the way back today), because it has certainly been very wet again yesterday and through the night here. Apparently the weather is still good there as they have just phoned and spending a couple of hours in Perranporth (where we stayed twice when the children were young) before they make their way back home.
Yesterday felt a bit better (but definitely not back to normal) and continued on indoors with light jobs. I needed to get out two spotlight bulbs for the kitchen and also another bulb was needed for the lantern light on the patio, so had a good sort through of what bulbs I had, found the ones I wanted and put those in and then searched the internet for a good offer on them, as used the last spotlight ones. The last ones I bought were Polaris brand and not that good at all, so avoided ordering them again, but got 2 packs of better ones from Amazon and ordered a DVD I wanted and that brought the amount over £20, so that is free delivery and used my Amazon vouchers, so nothing to pay out there. Sorted through and tidied up the remaining light bulbs and got them back in the cupboard - another necessary and boring job done. Carried on with a few more little jobs like that and a bit more repair of garden ornaments (that could be salvaged) and also had a long conversation with friend Anne, because she had seen the photos that Rachel had put on Facebook and she has a friend who lives down there and should have been visiting her, but cancelled because of the lockdown. When I was out on Thursday, friend Mary left a message on the phone, but feeling so unwell since then I haven't called her back, but will do that in a moment.
Jean at least a bit more time for you to do the clearance before the carpet fitters arrive and see that David is worrying about the reconnection of the tv and virgin service and driving you mad about where things have to be stored and your answer is the shed - simple as that. I reckon you will find that you were feeling so bad because of the humidity and I just had to break off from typing because Gennie phoned and she too felt so bad with it and yesterday could have easily not gone to dialysis, but forced herself to because she has now 2 days off from it, today and Monday. She said too, that at first you do start worrying because some of the symptoms are like those of the virus, but she then started remembering how some of the elderly people she had dealt with in the past, when she was nursing, were always so ill with humidity and couldn't breathe properly. At least we are all feeling that much better at the moment, but if you don't feel like doing any further clearing at the moment, then just give yourself a break from it. See your dentist has told you to avoid going to him at the moment and I was told by mine to enquire again next month - luckily no trouble at the moment like you.
Well I must phone Mary next so off to do that and hope you all have a restful day and same with you Rita, don't push yourself to do anything if you just feel like resting.
Hope you can all relax this afternoon.

Hi Everyone. Well it was morning when I started this, but several phone calls later and it is now afternoon.
More rain again yesterday and stormy weather and more forecast for today, so still nothing going to get done outdoors. I had quite a few phone calls back and forth yesterday - Stephen and Rachel now home and they did enjoy the break in Cornwall and then I managed to catch up with friend Mary and then I got some really bad news from Margaret, the friend who did the cooking for the Wednesday club (which Maria and I attended) and also the Thursday club in the same place and took over that job when Linda died, (the lady who used to do this) plus is chair of the Monday club at another centre, which Maria and I belonged to. I think I have mentioned this before that her daughter Amanda lives along the road from me in a ground floor flat and is disabled and Margaret has always been there at least once a week to do the housework for her and ironing and sometimes, twice a week.
Jean and Rita you have both met Margaret at some of our lunches and Gennie knows her too.
Well Margaret phoned me late afternoon and had apparenty sent a text message to me, which only arrived while we were talking (apparently a lot of hold ups with this weather and gmail suffered outages yesterday for a while), such a shock what she told me, last Sunday Amanda had phoned her friend Alan and said her voice was croaking and she was feeing ill and then rang off and he tried to phone her back, but got no answer so phoned Margaret immediately and told her and she said to him that she was getting over there and he should call the ambulance and go straight over there. Well he did that, but when he arrived apparently Amanda had already called for an ambulance and they arrived at the same time and when they went into the flat Amanda looked as though she was asleep, but was icy cold. The critical care ambulance also arrived and two doctors were there by air ambulance by the time Margaret had arrived and she was told that although they had worked on Amanda for nearly 40 minutes they had no response and Margaret said just stop. She had phoned her son Richard who is an officer with the TA and during the lockdown had been assigned to Woolwich Barracks to help, but is now back home in Cumbria and he came straight down and has been a great help to her and is sorting out a lot of things with her.
Back to this post now as several phone calls received and made.
I later phoned Maria and let her know and she was upset on hearing that news and I said I would phone Michael today (our clubs' treasurer) and check her full address so we could both send her a card. Before doing that I phoned Gennie and let her know and we had a good chat, then phoned Michael and before I could talk to him I heard his other phone go and said to him to answer that first and he said he would get back to me. Well he has just phoned back and I got the address from him and then he told me what the other phone call was about. It was a phone call from Val another club member who had been friends with Linda and her sister Margaret who I last saw at Linda's funeral. Val told Michael that Margaret had died this week, so he then left me to tell Margaret and Maria that bad news. I had to leave a message for Maria and will speak to her later, then phoned Margaret with more upsetting news for her. Anyway we had quite a long phone call and I have arranged to see her about 10.30 tomorrow along at Amanda's flat to help her with the final clearance and search for anything further important in the way of paperwork (that Margaret has started to go through and at least has found the insurance papers and details for the utility accounts) before they get the professional house clearers in to deal with the rest (they are also calling tomorrow to give their quote), so such a good job that I am feeling that much better and able to give her a hand.
Jean I see you have got some more clearing of drawers done and Paul is arriving on Saturday to help shift some of the stuff out of the way. I suppose it is a pity the doors cannot be painted before the new carpets go down, but you couldn't take the smell from the paint and you don't need to feel so unwell again. That is just how I felt that the pain I had felt like the size of a tennis ball with the pain going through from front to back and such a relief that attack is over and for the first time this morning I seem to be getting back to normal (that is, if I am ever normal ). Hope Coco gets over her jabs quickly that she is receiving at the vets. Just caught up with your post for today and see you got a trip out for a while, but came home when a load of children arrived. See you are going to phone the docs tomorrow, because David seems to be weaker, since the doc took him off of those pills and hope you get that sorted quickly.
Dian, yes thanks, feeling so much better now and although the weather here is sunny at the moment we had some rain this morning, but still thunderstorms threatened. I haven't been to Cornwall for about 7 years now and it definitely is a lovely place for a holiday when the weather is good, but I also used to enjoy the NE coast - Northumbria and going on up and over the border to some to the fishing villages in Scotland. Glad you enjoyed the break at the caravan and found it that much busier that it has been, but not too crowded. The greyhound sounded as though she enjoyed it and was no trouble in the car and the cat was glad to see you back, nearly tripping you over to get to the front door first and made sure you fed him first and went off to snooze, before you could unpack and make yourself a cuppa.
Hope the weekend was relaxed for you Rita and you saw your son on their return from Yorkshire.
Well must away ladies and get some work done as I will be helping Margaret tomorrow. Have a good day all of you.

David said he felt better this morning I said I would cancel the vet for the annual injections, but he said no. in any event I was down there for one hour for a 15 minute job.
also got worm and flea tablets, and then came home, had lunch and slept for two hours.....unlike me, felt so tired and David said that was how he felt yesterday.
so shall await to see about phoning the docs. tomorrow.
Pauline it seems you and me had the same bug but I was not sick. wherever did it come from?
So sorry for your friend Margaret, I remember her, although it is now a year since we have all met. such a shock. what actually caused it? Seemed like a heart attack.
or blood clot. Tell her I am sorry to hear about her daughter.
Dian hope you have another good dinner, hopefully will get to sons this week

today I had a leaflet from somewhere telling me not to mix etc. thought it had come with the paper but obviouslynot, rang my friend and she had not got one.
so David decided to paint the conservatory wall and so will not be going to the docs. you know what he is like, always tomorrow.
A friend of mines brother rang 111 because of constant ear pain and wax and they referred him to Rothwell hospital which David says is private. he had
to pay 40 pounds and is going on Friday....these people do not have much money.. he also has skin cancer on his face and they said they would deal with that
shall have to wait and see, they did not tell him this hospital is private.

Well ladies, I don't know how you feel, but as it is late into August and we seem to have such changeable weather, I think we are saying goodbye to Summer and Autumn is fast approaching. I haven't finished half of the work in the garden that I should have caught up with by now and it is all so frustrating and quite easy to get depressed about that, but have just got to keep busy indoors instead and just not worry about it. There was talk this morning on the t v about how many more people are getting depressed about things and it is understandable, but all I can say is that the best thing is to keep busy and our minds occupied.
At last the lethargy seems to have left me and so very thankful about that and glad I had enough energy to help Margaret yesterday. She phoned me early to say she was already along at Amanda's flat and I joined her just before 10 and while she was sorting kitchen cupboards I got on and tackled the large floor to ceiling cupboard in the hall which was packed from top to bottom with loads of bed linens, curtains, quilts, fleece blankets, towels, duvets, pillows, etc., and some old technical equipment, plus some ornaments and wallpaper and despite all of it being in good order it just had to be packed up in black bags for the house clearance people. I managed to find the lovely quilt that Margaret made for Amanda, that she wanted to keep and a lovely collection of pottery spice jars that had previously belonged to Margaret so she has them back too, plus she is keeping the beautiful new quilt and two matching pieces that are meant to cover the pillows - beautiful work that Amanda bought back from Egypt on a holiday years ago and never used. I found a large towel (new) that matched a set I already have, another large blue one that I liked and a whole lot of net curtains in great condition (three designs) with enough in each design for my bedroom windows and Margaret told me to take them.
Such a pity that the Salvation Army shop (2 minutes away) is still not open, because everything would have been so handy for them, but Margaret just wants the entire flat cleared as soon as possible so she can hand the keys back. Her shredder broke down with the work she was getting through at home, so thankfully Amanda had one that she was taking back with her to keep going with the paperwork (and another lot of that was going home with her yesterday).
Think we did a good job of clearing the cupboards yesterday and everything for the house clearance people was nearly all in bags in two rooms (with most of the cupboards cleared) and they were arriving yesterday, so that would have made it easier for them to estimate the cost and they are supposed to be clearing it today. Margaret gave me another extension lead (one of the round ones that has 4 points with a long extension cable) and a lovely black wire framed mirror with glittery bits in the frame that will look good in the hall upstairs and also came home with a new fleece fitted blanket which will go over my mattress (topper I have at the moment is starting to wear) and something that Maria will like - a glass work board for the kitchen with cup cakes on it - and that will certainly go with the little cabinets and shelves she has decoupaged with cup cake designs.
I came home and Margaret was just waiting for the clearance people to arrive and estimate and when I got home I then got the curtains, towels, fleece blanket, etc., in the washing machine, plus other washing I had (a lot dry and more ironing of clothes to do). The net curtains are dry and will clean the inside of the windows today and put the new ones up, so most of those I have been using can go to Barnardos, plus others I still have in the cupboard. By the time I had finished all of that yesterday the energy levels dropped again, so it was bath and catch up on recorded t v. Although before that I did manage to do some dead heading and had to deal with one lupin in the garden that was loaded with greenfly and I don't like using insecticides, but had to find mine in the garden store and use it.
This morning it is pouring, (and those strong winds are forecast for later) but stood out there for a while in the old gardening coat (hood up) and at least managed to dead head two large geraniums on the shelving along the patio and then it was in to catch up with the computer things and now able to get on here. After this I will phone Margaret to see how things went with the clearance and then speak to Maria and Gennie and after that, deal with the window cleaning and put up the new nets. I had intended to buy some new ones, but won't need to now.
Dian at our ages it is sad enough to lose friends and relatives of similar ages, but to lose one of your children before you is awful and was just so glad that I could give her a hand. Gennie said that with her she knew that would happen with Andrew for several years, so in a way was prepared and also allowed her to relax more after he had gone, but such a sudden shock for Margaret to deal with and she is coping with keeping busy and has other good friends that are taking her out for meals and her son Richard is a great help. Definitely got the rain this morning and now waiting for the strong winds to arrive here. Hope it is okay your way at the moment and you enjoyed the dinner at that hotel yesterday that your daughter was picking you up for.
Jean, I will pass on your thoughts to Margaret and it still isn't known what caused Amanda's death, but that humidity and heat does have some bad affects on people - still waiting for the post mortem results. What you and I had I am sure was down to the same thing and it certainly does take it out of you and although I am feeling more energetic, as soon as I start to slow down then I stop and rest - so far today I am okay, but see you soon felt tired again yesterday. Good to read that David was feeling better yesterday so you held off phoning the doctors and got on with taking Coco to the vets for the injections and hope that went okay. Bet you kept the doors shut as David felt well enough to paint the conservatory wall,so will have to see how he feels tomorrow. Bet you kept the doors closed while that painting was going on. Certainly a price to pay for the ear treatment on Friday (and not being made aware that it was a private hospital) for one of your friend's brothers - just hope it works for him. Hope you manage to get to Paul's on Sunday and enjoy the dinner, as you had to miss that last weekend.
Hope you are okay Rita and no further problems for you.
Must away now and get some lunch and then see what I manage to achieve out of all I want to do.

Hello. Pauline, that would be a terrible shock for 'Margaret, all happening so quickly and her dearest dsughter gone, for ever. she will never get over it. And then news of her it her friend's death, just awful.
You were able to help her when she so badly needed a sympathetic but level headed friend to help her to sort out everything as she would not know where to start. Clearing out a loved ones affairs and possessions.....
I hope you yourself are feeling better. This weather rain and wnind will leave plenty to clear in the garden.
Dian, I am glad you are getting out and about.
Jean, it's good that David could paint the wall, and you kept away whilst he did it. I hope you are feeling better now.
I have tried to get in here several times but it's disapeared. Either it's computers ir I am in my Dotage now! Sick of mynown company. Altho I did good in tontiwn and met Muriel and we went and had a bite to eat. But it did not cheer me as she was full of woe, this lockdown seems to be making people's illnesses more acute and she and her husband both have problems. I bought a birthday card and got bus home. My son came a week ago they have builders there but work delayed a bit as the builder had his Digger machine stolen. I heard when I was at bus stand that Hanging baskets round here have been stolen. Otherwise do not see or talk to sny one except daughter in Canada . I have felt so tired lately sleep at all wrong times,, got up at 10 yesterday but by 1 had to lie down, woke up atter 6 then fell into bed again at 9, Now it's 4,30 a.m. I must pull myself together, after all. There are many like me just got to be thankful to have comfort of home.
I will not be coming in here much as nothing to say. Take care all.

Hello Ladies.
Yesterday I got through most of the ironing, but there are still a few more items drying, so won't put the ironing board away yet. Stood out in the rain when it got a bit lighter for a while (with hood up) and managed a bit more dead heading and also achieved putting up the nets in the 2 bedrooms and the craft room. Job I must get on with is to go through the nets I had left out of my own older decent ones (because I know the ones left from Amanda's flat will be fine for the bedrooms and craft room) and decide if there are any amongst that lot that will do for the bathroom and also the porch windows downstairs (which are shorter) and then get rid of the rest of them. This afternon I want to get the shopping done and need to get that card for Margaret. If I have the time while I am at the centre, I would like to do a bit more sorting in the lock up, because I have agreed to go there again with Maria on Monday to shift some more items. There are a lot of good childrens' books to go through and I know that Gennie would like some for a little girl (and there are some soft toys that might be suitable for her also, plus some hand knitted childrens' tops) and if I get that sorted before Monday it will be easier for Maria and I to pack a lot more up and get them round to the charity shops.
Maria is off for her review today and depending on what the doctor says, it then has to be decided if she needs to go on with any further chemo treatment immediately, or whether that can stop for a while and if she can take that trip to Spain, but all depends on the doctor's decision, so fingers crossed for good news for her today.
The house clearance people gave Margaret an estimate of £550, which was less than what she expected (and they also know that there are a lot of good items in those black bags) and it shouldn't take them long to shift what they have to do and that will be done tomorrow and I told her I would be available to give her a hand if needed, then it gives Margaret room to move and get the mirror that she wants and a small tv off of the wall and there are some wardrobes and shelving waiting to be shifted that a friend is having and I think that her son will be there again at the weekend to get things moved in his car and Alan (Amanda's friend) has to collect a lot of tools that belong to him. Anyway it looks as though she will be able to hand the keys back to the council next week - they said to her she had until the 14th September, but can understand her not wanting to be there any longer than needed.
Dian, yes it was far better for Margaret to have someone with her at the flat - horrible to have to be alone there for any length of time by herself. She said what is getting at her is that trying to sort out the music for the funeral, that is when she keeps bursting into tears. Not only is the garden surviving without my help, it is turning into a jungle again with all of the rain and there is so much cutting back to be done. This morning it is sunny, but still that sharp edge to the breeze like an Autumn morning, but luckily those strong winds haven't arrived here (and hope they don't) and the forecast is good weather for all day. See you were going to try and get some garden work done and hope the rain didn't arrive and you were able to get on with what you had planned.
Rita, such bad news for you too early this morning about the friend of yours, who has been caring for her husband who has MS and her suddenly passing away with the heart atttack and still in her 60s. I think that very hot weather we went through and all of that humidity caused a lot of illness - I read more about that humidity (having suffered badly from that in the past) and apparently it can cause the sweat to dry on the skin which blocks the pores, so that cannot breathe and also it gets more difficult for the lungs to work and although you feel clammy and cold on the outside, internally the body is heating up and just cannot cool down, which then leads to heat stroke and can cause heart failure. It wouldn't surprise me if that is what caused Amanda's body to give up, because Alan said that when he arrived she just felt icy cold to touch. As you say, Margaret has lost her only daughter and will take a long time for that sadness to ease for her and then of course, I had to tell both her and Maria about the other friend we had lost, so it has been a couple of bad weeks, what with feeling unwell and then getting all of that bad news.
I was so thankful that I was feeling so much better on Tuesday and could help her which also gave her some company too at the flat. Her son had to get back to Cumbria, because being a former soldier with tours of duty in Ireland and onwards, he is a now a Sergeant Major in the TA and his regiment is up there. He is dealing directly with the Coroner and sorting our the mobility car (which he is going to have to get insured on his policy to drive that back, because at the moment they cannot collect them with the virus restrictions still in force) and he had said to his mum that he didn't care what it cost (because he would pay for it) to get the clearance people there so it made things easier for her. Thankfully he is very caring and practical, which is the help she needs at the moment.
I see that you went into town and met Muriel, but she was full of woe at the moment, which didn't do much to help cheer you up and agree, the lockdown is certainly taking its toll on so many people and getting so depressing (and we didn't need all of that dodgy weather with it), plus I believe your library is still closed, so you can't get into a good book either. I see that the work on Peter's house has been held up because the builder had his digger stolen and you also heard that hanging baskets were being stolen in your area - same here and a lot of garden ornaments too. I know you are still finding it difficult using the laptop, but we do appreciate seeing you on here and want to see as many posts as you can cope with and as far as sleeping at the wrong time - I don't think there is any right or wrong time to sleep as we get older, as we don't have many appointments to keep or a family to have to run around after, so just give in and rest when you feel like it.
Jean I told Margaret how sorry you were to hear about her daughter and she was pleased to receive those thoughts. Hope things are okay for you and David today and he is still feeling that much better.
Well I must away now and get sorted ready for the shopping trip and hope all goes well for everyone today.

Re: Hello Everyone

Hi Ladies, I am cheating a bit here tonight as I am running late. Have just answered an email from Rita and she sent her thoughts for me to pass onto Margaret and a lot of what I put in that I have copied and pasted on here.
I will phone Margaret tomorrow and pass on those thoughts from you Jean and Rita and see how the clearance went today. I had told her to phone me if she needed me, but I didn't hear from her, so hope it went okay.
Rachel called in today after delivering off a laptop to a client and had her lunch here and Maria called in with Isabel to talk about one of Rachel's courses to learn more about computers and Rachel reckoned she would be better off learning in October when a new set of courses start and she should go to the local branch of the company and Maria can train directly there - we will see if she is brave enough to do that. The hospital doctor is waiting to get a blood test before he does the review and Maria was told the first appointment was 9th September, so she phoned the doctor's secretary and she was going to see if she could get one for her earlier than that, because he needs to know what treatment is needed next or whether she can get a break from chemo for a while.
Rachel has booked a break for herself, Stephen and me in Gt Yarmouth and we will be there from Friday 4th September just for the weekend (and it is that weekend they would have been getting married if this virus hadn't taken over everything), so a short break to look forward to.
Nothing achieved outdoors for me except I had to keep racing out there to rescue things that were tipped over and try to stake up the sunflowers, etc., that were really getting a battering with that wind and of course most of the afternoon and evening it has been raining again. Have done a bit of gluing again and a couple more loads of laundry and of course, the ironing pile will go up again and over this weekend intend to sort through the nets and more clothing because Air Ambulance are collecting on Tuesday and I am meeting Maria on Monday at the lock up, so might bring some items home for them from there as there is still good clothing to go through.
Dian well I did get the ironing up-to-date again, but today changed the bedding in the spare bedroom and taken off the throws on the settees in the lounge and there was a bit more clothing, so that was two machine loads, so up goes the ironing once again - so plenty to carry on with while the bad weather lasts. Good luck with losing those 5lbs - I had started losing the extra weight again, but after Rachel had her lunch and Maria and Isabel arrived, I got out a packet of jaffa cakes, so bang went any dieting ideas for today. See you got good weather yesterday and got the washing out and dried, plus did some clipping back in the garden and then lost the secateurs - I am always laying tools down out side and then having to hunt for them. Hope you find them. You can see from above, that still no news for Maria because doctor needs an up-to-date blood test, so hope she can get it quicker if his secretary chases and says that it is urgent, so they can plan any further treatment. Well I see that wind was your way too today and now the apples have started falling again - just know how you hate that job .
Jean, certainly far too windy to go out with Oscar today and see you were worn out before the day started. I can see that Coco was helping you to post today and Paul was arriving this afternoon to help you move things - so a tiring day for you. It definitely wasn't a good news week for me or for Rita either with the news she received and hope we hear nothing further like that for a long while. Oh yes, house clearance does have to be paid for and of course, what we have to remember is that some of those clearances aren't too pleasant, but that quote was reasonable and we knew that they had a lot of good items out of that clearance from Amanda's, but the annoying thing was, that today I had that notice from Air Ambulance to say they were collecting on Tuesday next week and if we had known then a lot could have gone to them.
Must away to bed now as it is 1.15 in the morning and hope you all have a peaceful night xx

Must away to bed now as it is 1.15 in the morning and hope you all have a peaceful night xx

slept for about 8 hours last night, and today feel tired, so not doing much.
Oscar was a good boy and we watched CDs with his Mum on when s he was little, and he enjoyed that. and then he did some painting.
my dining room looks like a jumble sale but I know it will get sorted eventually.
Pauline great you are going to Gt/Yarmouth. Take me along, ages since I have been there.
Paul came and put furniutre into the dining room etc. then Kaz to collect Oscar. Coco enjoyed it all, especially trying to get some of Oscars dinner
she would eat forever if we did not stop her. she even had a piece of my orange........it I eat it she eats it whatever it is.
still cannot believe it about sadly all those people who died.....

Hi Ladies.
As the Air Ambulance is calling here on Tuesday I am having a big clear out today - so far have gone through skirts, tops, scarves, gloves and next going to look at the trousers, knitwear, etc., and then start on the bedding and those net curtains. As I am meeting Maria on Monday at the lock up and plan to bring a lot back here for them I am going to make sure they collect and will phone them to let them know it is here for collection. Wardrobes do have room in them again and some of the drawers aren't so packed now and I want the upstairs hall cupboard to get emptier.
Spoke to Margaret this morning and she was just waiting for the wardrobes to be collected and said that the clearance actually filled up two caged vans and they also took the freezer away for her (which they did charge a bit more for) because there are heavier charges for them at the clearance centre as all of the gas has to be got out of them. They said to her that they recycle as much as they can, so now when the wardrobes are collected all she needs to do is get the items out of there that she needs and the person collecting the wardrobes will get the mirror off of the wall for her and someone else is giving her a lift back with the items she is taking, so then it is all finished and she can hand in the keys next week. I told her that you Jean and Rita had sent your kind thoughts to her and she thanked you both for that.
Jean that was a good sleep you had, but you said that you are still tired and I think that does happen after a long sleep, I see that Oscar enjoyed his time with you yesterday and he would definitely have enjoyed seeing those cds with his Mum on when she was little and then did some painting while he was there. You will be so happy when the new carpet is down and you can claim back your dining room again as Paul shifted the furniture into there for you and then Kaz called to collect Oscar, so a busy day for you, but worth all of the effort when the carpet is fitted and you can get straight again and I see that Coco found it all amusing and was going after Oscar's dinner. See she will try and eat anything that you eat and you have to stop her eating as she enjoys it all. It has been a long time since we went to Gt. Yarmouth, but I do like the east coast and looking forward to that mini break.
Dian, yes a sad time for Margaret, but she does have some good friends and family to help which will help get her through it all. It was a nuisance that there is such a long wait for that blood test for Maria and just hope the doctor's secretary can get it put forward for her, because until he gets that test he won't be able to decide on the next move. As you say, washing is never ending followed by the ironing and I am sure when I go through the bed linens and curtains I will find a bit more to do with those things I decide to keep , although planning on having such a good clear out over this weekend. I am looking forward to that break in a couple of weeks and hope we get good weather for it. Today it is dry here at the moment, although still plenty of wind and see you are looking forward to the get-together with the neighbours at Duke's owners' home (so hope the good weather keeps up) and then tomorow off to your younger daughter's for Sunday dinner. Hope you get some help with the physio after that lady phoned yesterday and it would be good for you to know what exercises will help.
Rita, hope you are having a pleasant weekend and I now must get a move on here and get through a lot more of the turn out. Have a good weekend everyone.

Good Morning All.
Up early and carrying on with the turn out - just been through the handbags and next going to tackle the T-shirts. I got out a load of trousers yesterday, but so far avoided seeing what fits, but got to face that today. This afternoon Aimie (oldest granddaughter) is popping in for a quick visit by herself, leaving Sean to look after Hunter and Kylian for a while, so looking forward to seeing her.
Hope the weekend is going well for you all and I am off to enjoy a strong filter coffee and some toast for breakfast and so far today the weather is good - wish I had time to do some garden work (and did manage to dead head a few things yesterday and collect some seeds), but got to stick to this turn out.

glad you had a lovely day with the neighbours Dian. sounds like nice people. we really do not have any neighbours as such, only Richard at the back who offered to get
us some stuff. next door is the pole which his music we hardly ever see him, and around four doors down are Pet and Janet, who are ok.
still awaiting to see what the neighbours on the other side will be like....
we are going over to Pauls for dinner, first time in five months.
Did I tell you that they are having a Travellers Horse Fair, near Gt.Doddington, where I playbowls, the shop, bairdresser and probably pub will close for 4 days
the police say they cannot stop it......would soon be round here should we have a large gathering. this is on Bank HOliday Money.
these are the people who pretend to care for horses, and loads are found in fields just left.
it is dull today, looks like rain
