well I did try and be clever but lost the image. I could not sleep last night and am tired. so shall have to try and work this out.
got home and had a parcel from Damart, then I discovered that I have to pay an extra £10 for the dress, so rang up and said I did not
want the fleece but no it was a free gift and so they charged me the extra £10, in their dreams all going back tomorrow and cancelled account
Long Itching is a nice big village, downloaded the photos, and the camera told me it was full, strange that, as I had deleted it everytime.
so shall have to work that out, when not so tired
Dian fly down here and you could come as well, will ask Pauline to put photo on

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Mynck210
Hi Everyone.  Late on here today.  Yesterday I still kept away from sawing away at that tree as still got so many aches and pains at the moment, but cleared a few more older planters and cut back more wallflowers and collected the seeds and have put in some of the larger sunflower seedlings in a couple of planters.  Only watered the seeds last evening and left the watering of the entire garden until fairly early this morning and after the wind today it needs another lot, but afraid it is only the seedlings that I am going to deal with this evening - water early again tomorrow. I also finished sorting out the last of the jewellery I had brought home.

Today after watering the garden and feeding the wildlife again, I went to the centre and worked for quite a while in the lock up clearing the last of the jewellery off of the large stand and have brought the jewellery, the stand and two large plastic storage boxes home with me, so more sorting to do.  I also called in the local police station, which was open again today and gave them a copy of the email and the keys and after getting home I printed off three posters and stuck them in the bus shelter letting people know that the keys that were found on Friday are now at the local police station, so done all I can with regard to them.

Since I got home I have been doing some more cooking - bought some minced beef in Tescos and got that cooking at the moment with onions and also cooked some sausages in the oven (which are now cooling) as they will do nicely for sausage sandwiches for lunchtimes this week - makes a change from ham, cheese or corned beef with salad.  Also lots to do on the pc when I got home - plenty of surveys to deal with, but just put through a request for another PayPal payment, so worth doing even if they are boring at times.  Got through to Maria and we had a catch up, but no answer from Gennie, so left a message for her.   Tomorrow I must concentrate on the garden again.

Jean sent me these photos of her outing today and have resized them to get them on here:-

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Jean_110 Hello Everyone - Page 4 Jean_210

Jean that looks a quaint place you visited today and that building certainly looks some age - lovely lot of water there and bet you did enjoy that trip out.  See you got some garden work done yesterday and it was pleasant weather to work out in, but there was a bit of a cold wind again today here.  See you didn't sleep too well last night, so didn't need that trouble to deal with from Damart - what a try on and see you are going to cancel the account with them and now you have some trouble with the camera and need to sort that out and the magpie is still having a go at Coco - they are such mischievous and tormenting birds  There were two of them yesterday pulling out dried stuff from nextdoor's guttering and just chucking it down on the ground - wouldn't mind if they cleaned the gutters all out properly Wink.

Dian I see you got the rain yesterday and we are still waiting and it was also chilly your way and you were going to put the heating on again.  I did manage to switch mine off yesterday and it is still off today - two days in a row and wonders will never cease Rolling Eyes.  Still miserable and cold for you today also, so you stayed in and caught up with some friends on the phone and probably best for you as your back is giving you some trouble at the moment - best to have a restful day and not bother to do anything too physical.

Rita, sorry to read you lost another post yesterday.  Instead of looking back, try opening two of the same pages - one you are posting on and tap on the other tab to read what has been written.  See you got the bed changed and washing done and that dried quickly in that warm weather yesterday and hope today has gone well for you.

Well I must away now ladies and water those seedlings - hope you all have a peaceful night and a good sleep.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 G0dbyv10 Well I really should be out in the garden, because after a fairly strong wind earlier, it has now settled into a sunny day and the wind has gone, but I looked at the items standing around in the dining room that I brought home yesterday and thought I can't have the indoors turning into a storage depot again, so sat outside and repaired the large jewellery stand and have almost sorted through all of the jewellery I brought home yesterday and all of the good necklaces are now back on the stand and the ones I brought home previously are upstairs sorted, so a lot of them will now go onto it.  Am going to sort through what other items I previously brought home and try and pack a lot of those into the two large storage boxes with lids that I got home yesterday.  There are some more things in the lock up that need to come back here, but after that I have really got to wait for the charity shops to open up again to get more of the items to them.

Lunch next and then I reckon it should be the garden, so hope you are all enjoying your day and things are going well for you all ladies.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Ndgfk511 Hi again Ladies.  Posting again because I have just received an email to say that I am one of the £50 prize drawer winners on one of the survey sites, so having just got two payments recently from a couple of the sites and also winning £25 on the Premium Bonds, looks as though it is my lucky month.  All very handy because I want to send a voucher to Stephen and Rachel so they can buy something for the garden of their new home (moving at the end of this week).

Jean got your thank you email for posting the photos and it was a pleasure to do and to know that you managed at last to get out on one of your trips.  What an awful lot of trouble that insurance company is giving you and David is right, don't give up on it because that is what they are hoping for you to do.  Shame the doctor isn't going to be helpful though.  Glad you got the camera sorted out in the end.

Well we have had another lovely warm day, i did a bit of tidying uo spent  plants but iI am not very steady balancin when bending So filled   2,buckets with weeds etc then that was enough, i have asked my son to get  a few perennial  plants  and he will sort garden out, its too much fir me but i used to enjoy working in my garden.  Also asked him to get strong weedkiller specially for  drive and gravel then that will be done.
Pauline I see as usual you are non stop busy but your aches pains bothering you, you need to slow down sometimes. Goiod news about another cash win and I see  it will be a house warming  present .
Jean, those photos  of your trip out look clear, so pleasant to go somewherej pleasant  in this lockdiwn. What a frustrating carry in with yiur insurance claim, they certainly make things as difficukt as they can to avoid paying outhere wil be a lot of people trying to claim for holidays they paid for but cannot go on now,
Dian, i hope you had some sunshine and were able to sit outside, is the cat still keeping you company.
Builders busy next door and constant knocking here is a bother, yesterday I Sat outside fir a while on a bench  along the road, just to be outside for a bit, too noisy to sit in my own garden with all that banging,  there us a bench on green opposiite and one  further down the street.
Sitting there spoke to a neighbour and heard of deaths of  4 People round this way,  as not seeing anyone to chat to for a few weeks it seems a lot, not the virus.     Friend who is in hospital and has virus is getting better and eating and talking now.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Gmever10
Hi Ladies.  Lovely start to the day - sunny and calm, so think it is okay for me to finish that Eucalyptus tree.  Watered the garden last night, but got to be honest that is all I did do in the garden yesterday as I concentrated on getting that jewellery stand repaired and all of the decent necklaces back on it again and it is looking good.  Used the two large storage boxes to put a load of the other items in, so home not looking like a warehouse again.  Spoke to Stephen this morning and move is on the cards for 29th and their money has been transferred.  He is busy at the moment getting routes planned for June, so things looking up again with regard to his line of work - until now there has only been one factory manufacturing the snooker/billiard tables, but another one is starting production next week, so hopefully back to a busy time again for him and Rachel is still busy with all of the on line training schemes for her firm's clients. This morning ordered one of the National Garden vouchers for them, as they have mostly everything they need for their house, but will need to develop the garden and that voucher includes a lot of garden centres near Rugby and also The Range, so they will find that useful.

Jean I do hope you can get that insurance matter sorted before long - it has been such a trial trying to get money back on that cancellation and good that you now have the camera sorted ready for the next trip.

Dian, talking about the charity shops and wanting them to open up again, a couple of the Tesco ladies commented on a top I was wearing the other day and I told them it had come from a charity shop and we had a laugh when I said I can't do any clothes shopping at the moment because of them being closed - not that I need any further clothes at the moment, but I really do need to clear a lot more items from the lock up and see you want to get rid of a lot of things too.  Wet and miserable for you yesterday and hope today is better and just know how you feel about your hair at the moment.

Rita you did so well in the garden yesterday (got more done than me), but please be careful about the amount you do out there.  Hope David can do a lot of it for you and get some plants from the garden centres now they are open again to brighten things up.  My aches and pains are better this morning, so can get going again out there.  As you can see from above, have sorted out that garden voucher for Stephen and Rachel's new home and that prize money has come in handy.  I know your hearing has improved, but not nice hearing the constant knocking from the build next to you and I see that the Government have eased the building laws that much so builders can carry on later than normal - usual national regulations with regard to building sites say from 7 in the morning until 7 in the evening, but relaxed now, so they can get things done, so hope that builder doesn't go on for too long in the day and see you were driven out to sit on a bench a bit further away to get away from it all.  Good news about your friend who has been in hospital with the virus is now getting better, but sad news of the deaths around your way (although not from the virus) that you received from your neighbour.

Well I must get a move on as the morning is nearly over - got a couple of phone calls while I was typing this and nice to speak to people, but must get a move on now before the day goes again. Hope it is a good one for all of you..

Hi ladies. Its been another lovely day. I texted my son and he went to garden centre and brought me 6 perrenial plants which he will come one day and put in the garden and sort and tidy up. So many large pots to empty and dispose of, , and still plenty left with hydrangea and others...Tony, who did the garden before is now poorly, he took no notice of what i said and although it looked a picture i do not want any more annual flowers. He also brought strong weedkiller for the drive and peths, so once done itvwill be ok fir a while.
Otherwise a quiet day
I guess we are all the same now , but it seems likely that this living alone will last fir a long time yet.

this morning our lovely neighbours woke me up at 6am putting their bin out and a quick peep over the fence  saw me looking at their barbecue with fuel to light it with
and then behold they had a tray of seeds, now as their garden is like a jungle, the lawn having been cut at the front only and then once.....must be something special
I hung out the towels in my dressing gown and have got them in as we have a few spots of rain.
I was ok when I got up and then David has to have the news on, more doom and gloom. on the front of the newspaper it says Boris is giving up lockdown in ten days
but there again you cannot believe what they say.
yesterday Donadl Trump was an idiot and today they are getting in malaria pills

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Empty Re: Hello Everyone

Thu 21 May 2020 - 10:16
Hello Everyone - Page 4 Hksx2213Hi Ladies.  Well yesterday went by with a few more phone calls and also cooked the minced beef that I bought from Tescos, with onions and had one lot last evening with veg and potatoes and now got four tubs in the freezer for further meals, so didn't achieve as much as I wanted in the garden.  I got another branch off of the tree, but the rest was at an awkward angle so decided I needed to pull out a couple of heavy planters so I could get the step ladder round another way.  That has given me more jobs to do, because in one of them is a conifer that does very well (being kept small), but really needs to be put in a larger planter and by the time I had swept out that section the working day had gone again, so onwards with that tree and that corner today.  The corner was one of the areas I knew I had to sort, but that involves sorting out damaged trellis sections on the fence surrounding it and the one that is missing due to one of the council tree branches taking it out a few years back.  Lot of physical work to carry on with today and not particularly looking forward to it.

Jean see you are putting up with a lot of banging from next door with Coco joining in at every noise, so not pleasant to stay in at the moment.  See that David's garden work has continued and he has put netting up over the raspberries, thankfully that is one thing I don't have to do with the gooseberries as the birds don't seem to like the thorns on them - neither do I when it comes to picking them.  Had to laugh about Coco tapping David's foot when he was reading the newspaper, to let him know she wanted picking up.  The house that Stephen and Rachel are moving to is about 4 years old and the one they are selling is about 5 - most of the houses in that area were only started on about 10 years ago, so a fairly new area and in fact, there are still more houses being built there.  Their section was built by David Wilson homes, but Persimmon are building a lot more houses in that area and there is now a fairly good bus route around the estates. Nice that your cousin Carol managed to see her daughter after such a long time, now that she is clear of the virus.  Just caught up with your today's post and see it looks as though it is action on the back garden by your neighbours - as you say with all the banging that has been going on and a tray of seeds out in the back garden and the bbq being got ready - obviously must be something special they are planning - should stay away from the garden if they are going to have a lot of visitors next door and stay safe.  You saying about getting the towels out early and then a spot of rain starting, well I have checked the BBC and Met Office weather and both of them only say rain early tomorrow morning, yet there is also this weather warning of violent storms approaching, so don't know what to expect.  As you say more doom and gloom on the news and yes, Trump criticised for taking the anti malaria drug, now two of our laboratories are testing it Rolling Eyes.

Dian I wouldn't say the house is that tidy, but at least reasonable again and not so much hanging around (expect for the large bag containing a lot more photo albums to sort  Shocked )  Glad to read you got a lovely day yesterday and washing out drying and you were able to sit outside for a while, but of course, meant watering the gardens front and back.  I haven't watered the front, but that mainly stays in shade, but back needs doing again and am hoping that we get the rain that is forecast.  See you were enjoying a lovely evening.

Rita glad to read that Peter has been to the garden centre and got you 6 perennial plants and is going to do some work for you out there.  I know you have said before about Tony insisting on putting a lot of annual plants in, which gives more work and I prefer to use perennials as much as I can.  Yes this living alone can get you down and with me, I try and keep busy to stop getting bored, but there are times when you just want to be lazy and feel fed up and the biggest content of the news isn't anything to cheer us up and the repeat old programmes are getting a bit boring.  Wish I lived nearer to you, because I have loads of books that you could borrow (such a nuisance that the libraries are closed).

Well ladies I am going to make a cup of coffee and then get that step ladder out again and hope you all can enjoy the day.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Sx7rtm10 Pauline see you got some more chopping of the tree but need to move items to do more See its going to be a heavy day in your garden.Yes your ready meals are a great help when you are so busy.Guess the photo albums will be for wet days Smile Stephen and Rachel will be looking forward to their new house.Gooseberries I really liked them but never see them here in the shops. One time when picking strawberries in Cornwall found  2 whole rows of gooseberries so really enjoyed them.......think that was the last time I had one
Jean Coco will be wondering what all the noise is about.Good David has protected his raspberry tree.Nice Carol got to finally see her daughter Think we are in for a lot of rain in the next few days
Rita can understand how annuals are too much trouble now.I usually just have two tubs with them at front but so far they are empty. That is good your son going to sort your garden for you.Think we are all going stir crazy.Hope you have a good day.

Thu 21 May 2020 - 15:41
Hello Everyone - Page 4 7fw3im12 Back again, as I have come in from the garden to cool off.  Fate - there is some reason why I am not intended to finish that tree yet.  This morning there were feathers all over the lawn again and the black cat disappearing from a corner where he finds it easy to hide, so that urgently had to be sorted out and as I am moving a lot of tubs from the corner where the tree is going to be cut (eventually Rolling Eyes) I am now tying back things and shifting tubs (having to feed them and put some foxgloves in them which can stand the shade) into it to block off the hiding place.  Of course all using up the time I wanted to devote to the tree, but it was a job on the list that has now got urgent.

Dian lovely gif there.  Yes you were right, a heavy day in the garden and going to make a cup of tea and cool down for a while.  That is why I bought those gooseberry bushes, because you cannot buy the fruit in the shops these days and I do love them.  See your daughter has phoned for a shopping list and it will be nice to spend time with her when she arrives with it later.

Enjoy the hot weather this afternoon ladies.

Peter did the front, its only small and have gravel instead of lawn, but still needs maintenance. He planted  round the rose tree in the circle and emptied four of the very large pots and three of the smaller ones, there are still several pots containg various shrubs and  pansies, this afternoon i have busied weeding in the  tiny back garden , have done as much as I can and its all tidy now.
I wish the builders were finished building those two bungalows next  here. Only one man and his son, it gets noisy so I take out my hearing aids.  Notice up to say council will be building pavements there, Three days in June, it will be nice when finally done.
I hope you have all been out in the sun for a while its been very hot here and only now people out walking.  Of course round here every one has large gardens so only need walk for exercise.i seem to be writing in the wrong place. here as just seen I think i missed reading some posts.
Pauline that tree is  taking all your energy and patience to get it cut as you want it.  Cats are a nuisance in other peoples gardens. I like cats but two of them continually cross the road  to mess in my and others gardens, .  Dian, it would be lovely for you to have your daughter in for a chat.     Jean, i bet the sunshine is too hot for coco, dogs can get overhested, haha you will have to get him a little paddling pool.

yesterday David went out to the car to find a council van there, complete with PPE(man) putting the neighbour rubbish into the van. Now Sue hordes everything
has parkinsons, has not been there lately, so wonder is she is moving out. still she will have to have the creeper cut down over the garages, which is spreading.
Dian still waiting on insurance, will be nice to see your daughter.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Empty Re: Hello Everyone

Fri 22 May 2020 - 14:27
Hello Everyone - Page 4 Toohbt12Hi All.  This morning it was far too windy out there to do anything constructive in the garden and definitely no tree cutting as don't want to get up ladder in this wind, so carried on with indoor jobs. Spoke to Maria yesterday after her review and the doctor was very pleased with her and she is responding to the treatment very well, so next blood taking is on Monday and chemo on Wednesday with the next review in July. She also said that the drinks she has been prescribed by the dietician seem to up her energy too.  Also at last managed to get through to Gennie this morning and gave her that news which she was glad to hear and she is okay too.  The wind is still with us this afternoon and although we had a small amount of rain this morning it wasn't enough, so glad I watered last night and will need to do so again later as this wind is drying everything out again.  At least I managed to complete that one corner yesterday and block off some of the hiding places that furry little devil uses.

Rita that is good news that Peter has done a lot of the garden for you and you managed to tidy up the back garden.   It will be nice when that building is finished next door and see the council will be doing the pavements, but now his generator has packed up on him and he is finding it hard to get a new one, so more hold ups.  Yes I am really held up with that tree and although I like cats, that one is becoming a regular nuisance - very persistent in trying to catch the birds - so had to make life more hard for him.  Had to laugh at your suggestion for a paddling pool for Coco.  See you have creeper getting inside your shed now.  It took me ages to get rid of the ivy off of my back fence, but I managed it in the end and the ivy I do have now really takes a lot of work to keep it from spreading.

Jean glad you got the electric working again.  I always turn of my microwave at the point after use.  Tell David it saves about £30 a year by doing that and not leaving the clocks working and then he might remember to do it.  See you have turned out more things, but no charity shops open or collecting things and that is what is holding me up with finishing off the lock up and getting rid of more clothes from my drawers.  Looks as though your neighbour might be in a home as the council were clearing things out from her house and perhaps you have a situation where the property is going to be sold to cover home costs.  Hope you can get rid of that creeper yourselves, because the council won't do it - just put the house on the market for selling once it is emptied.

Dian, yes that furry fiend has kept me busy and the birds away from their food yesterday, but definitely no garden work today except for watering - far too windy out there.  See you have a wild windy day and rain with it - only that small amount for us this morning and nothing forecast for here, so back to watering again this evening.  You will be missing being able to sit out in the sunshine in your garden and having to be stuck indoors today.

Despite the windy weather, hope you all manage to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening and I am off to make a cuppa and decide what to do next.

Hello Everyone - Page 4 Vgrlbk10Hello Ladies.  Despite saying no garden yesterday, in the end I did go out there and although it was definitely no ladder use because of the wind, I did finish clearing out the corner where I have to get at the tree and along the fence there are two sets of those plastic shelves next to one another, with a lot of good wood contained in them and these were covered with plastic to protect the wood and that plastic needed renewing.

That meant opening up one of the garden stores and finding the large pieces of plastic that were stored in a large plastic bag in there (and of course, that was at the bottom so had a good tidy up of part of that store) and found a good piece that just needed a bit of trimming (you know the type, that comes covering a mattress, so heavy duty) and that is now in place and I can now get at the trellis that needs repair in that section (that is when I can get the ladder out after the wind drops).   There are a couple of large planters which I have managed to sort where honeysuckle and passion flower vine rooted and growing well, so had the job of untangling all of that without damaging it and eventually it will have trellis to run on.

While I was doing this I noticed how the lower branches of that council tree are hanging so low and banging against my fence and when I can safely get the ladder out, they are going, because I have had enough damage done to one of the previous trellises and I am not going to let that happen again.  After I have posted on here I really must go and water because everything is drying out so badly and despite the promise of rain it still hasn't arrived.  Very light shower shown on one of the weather forecasts this afternoon, but doesn't look as though that is going to be enough, unlike the weather it looks as though Dian has in Scotland - still wild and wet there today.

Hope all of you enjoy your Saturday and look forward to seeing your posts later xx

the wind is blowing in the windows  I took Coco for a short walk but thats all. she wanted to go further but just could not go far in this wind.
the neighbour next door has gone, three council lorries of rubbish so far(we can only see this is we go out) house looks empty and ready for squatters.
cannot get in the garden because of the wind, and the dry ground is not helping. my friend in Canada poured hot water over her garden and put
her sweet peas in...they survived.....
