Hi Pauline hope I have bookmarked this as I keep having to go back to your link well done putting on a gif
Re: Hello Everyone

Hi Joan, I have found that by going along that top list of items and tapping on how you want the writing to appear, that when you start typing the cursor is in the middle of the code instructions, so I am getting there. When I put on the gif I had to go to that top thing where it says "host an image" and get the gif you want and put it as thumbnail and that will get on here. Although having done that you will see that the cursor disappears from the list of codes and you have to search for the middle again in between all of the code instructions - bit complicated, but now starting to understand things a bit better. When you have typed the post then go to preview and see if it is satisfactory and if not you can do any alterations and when you are satisfied you tap "send".

Good Morning All. Continuous rain here, so indoor jobs getting done.
Still carrying on with the clear out of the spare bedroom and am being so ruthless with what is going - several ornaments off to the table top sale and been very thorough with the turn out of shoes . Went through all of the photo frames yesterday that came out of the large hall cupboard upstairs and replaced some of those that had photos in around the house and found frames for some that had been hanging around waiting for display. Went to print off a photo of Kylian (second gt grandson) and found that the new printer was out of magenta colour and of course, the spare inks I still have from the other printer, don't suit. Now got to order more inks before I can do any further printing.
I also had my eye on various auctions over this weekend and have won three of them - got some lovely brooches, which that Ebay seller has promised to send to me with combined postage as they are for fund raising and got a few more from the same seller coming up today. Also several more from another lady who has promised to combine the postage if I win any of hers, so fingers crossed that I might win a few more, as the jewellery is always a draw for the people at the sales and I am getting low on brooches and clip on earrings that are always hard to find. I already have the trolley packed to get to the lock up tomorrow - some lovely duvet sets that one of my friends gave me are in there, plus some of the shoes and ornaments.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone

Good morning Pauline and everyone. It is another wet one. It seems if we get a couple of nice days we always have to pay with double the amount of wet or cold ones. It is a shame they always seem to come at weekends as well. I have my grandson Carl and his wife Claire and 3 great-grandchildren coming for dinner today so I had better get on with preparing it. Have a nice day x

hi everyone.
have replied to your request Joy and hope it arrives, as it says I have no new message. rain and cold all day. took dog to supermarket for a ride. too wet
now to go out. cousin Carol should be here tomorrow, if the trains are running and at the moment they. are so will not get on.
I need to sort out the vets tomorrow as well, as they never rang me. they charge £26. for something I can get on there for £6.25 loads of people cannot
afford to have animals now and that is another reason there are all these animals up for rehoming.
I do not know how I got here either.....
Pauline will have to have another clear out as well
Jo Jo when are you on holiday?

Monday Morning Greeting
Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:50 am
Good morning. It is a sunny start to the day, not at all what the weatherman forecast for us but I am not complaining as I have a busy day in front of me. First I have to call at Carl’s home to pick up a new iPad cover he got for me but forgot to bring with him yesterday. Then it is on to Spec-Savers to see about getting my eyes tested for the DVLA. After that I have to go to the hospital for blood tests for Dr Jones, my Rheumatologist, whom I have an appointment to see tomorrow. And then I have an appointment at the medical centre at 1 pm to see my Optometrist who looks after my eyes for the Glaucoma. That is half an hours drive away from the hospital where I do the blood test. The letter from the DVLA says they can’t take the test results from my optometrist because he examines my eyes one at a time and the DVLA need my eyes to be examined together by a machine that SpecSavers use specifically for the DVLA. Obviously as this is stated in the letter, they must have been asked this question many times. I think I will be glad to finally get back home and have an afternoon nap after all this. Have a good day and I hope it stays dry for us all.

Joy I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday with the family visiting - sounds like a very busy one and now today a lot of different medical visits to make and hope they all run smoothly and on time for you.
Jean hope Carol gets to see you without any train travel hiccups. Be interesting to see what your vet has to say about those charges.
Well the garden is looking very battered and bedraggled after that continuous rain over the weekend and thankfully the sun is out this morning. I have to get to the lock up first to store a trolley load of items for the next sale and do some top up shopping. Trying to get an early start because I want to get that over and done with quickly, get home to do a few more jobs and then to the club this afternoon where apparently we are going to have a talk on Northampton past with photos and while that is going on I will take with me some cutting out to do of designs for decoupage, so that I have quite a bit of decoration handy once I start on the wooden items that need attention
Heard from Rita that she was still having trouble getting in here and I know that Dian is away and Joan has started her holiday. Haven't yet heard from Linda or Janet and do hope to see everyone in here finally. It is so much nicer to have a private group and all answers and posts staying in their time posting order, instead of all over the place like Facebook.
I can't seem to get the font size or colour right this morning, but at least I have posted. Wishing you all a good start to the week.

Enjoy that holiday Joan and try and sort out the friendship request from Joy when you return. Perhaps you can sort this out through your profile page. Hope the weather brightens up for you and is better than the rain we have here today.

Well I have managed to get back in - was logged out and all seems okay now. Will not be posting again until next week as I have so much to do this evening and out all day tomorrow and in Rugby for the weekend. Back late Monday and will try and sort out any hiccups on here then.
Have a lovely weekend all of you.

Hi Everyone. As I am up earlir than I expected, just a quick post. I am looking forward to today and meeting Rita, Jean and 4 other friends for lunch, then later going out with the family for a birthday meal and then off to Rugby. Don't think I will have another chance to post before I get home from Rugby, late on Monday, so wishing you all a lovely weekend, whatever you have planned.

Hi Ladies. Took that photo of my Hibiscus which has started flowering so well while I was away at the weekend.
We enjoyed the lunch out on Friday and then having got Gennie home I got home and finished packing for Rugby. Stephen and Rachel arrived about 7 and then we went to meet Aimie (oldest granddaughter) and her partner Sean with the two children Hunter and Kylian, to have a meal out to celebrate both Aimie and Sean's birthdays which are this month. Kylian managed to sleep all the way through the meal . After that Stephen, Rachel and myself took off for Rugby where I spent the weekend. Saturday evening we went to the party to celebrate Adam (Rachel's brother) and Leanne's wedding and that was so enjoyable. Sunday had a peaceful day and did some shopping on Monday while Stephen was at work (Rachel was working from home) and then Stephen brought me home and we got here about 8.15 and immediately Stephen tackled the last 2 large branches on the Eucalyptus tree and that we managed to cut up and get in one bin, ready for collection today - thankfully that job out of the way.
This morning I have been catching up with emails and had a delivery from one man with items for the sale which got added to the items I brought back from Rachel and have started on the crafting on a few more things for the sale.
Tomorrow I have to go to the Wednesday club, but have also arranged to meet Maria to go to the lock up with items we have, so clearing another trolley load and that hopefully will leave me with only a few items to get up there on Friday.
Unfortunately Rita wasn't feeling too good on Friday and had to turn off both the normal hearing aid and the cochlear implant as she was just picking up very loud noise. Hopefully this can be adjusted for her when she has an appointment at Addenbrookes on the 14th, but at the moment feels she cannot join Nifties on this new group and this is what she emailed me:-
"Hello Pauline, first of all I wish to tell you how much I appreciate your friendship over the years and that although now I am leaving Nifties it is after much thought, but I have to admit that I am not as young now and some days are difficult. So i find that I have nothing to say,/report.
Thank you for all you have done Pauline, and arranging meet ups, and the one we had at your house long ago. I was pleased to see you and Maria and Gennie on Friday, but sorry that I just could not hear, the noise through my aids was overwhelming! It is quite stressful.
I have tried to email Dian and Joan but had Joans returned, wrong addy.
With very best wishes, rita"
I have replied and said I did hope that when she was feeling better and hopefully the implant had been sorted, she might think about joining us and also gave her the email address to write to Joan.
I must away now and get on with some more painting and decorating of items and hope you all enjoy your day.
P.S am putting a few photos on below that are a bit lopsided, because they were taken quickly as they came up on a viewer at the party on Saturday evening, plus one of Tilly the new kitten that has joined the household at Rugby.

well it looks as if I can reply now.
Wow you have been busy Pauline and thanks for the photos. will see if I can get if off here.
Monty was going for his final journey this morning, but today is much better. I know it will not be long.
so went down town with David and into Peacocks where I got two pairs of trousers I do not really need, but they are nice
with wide legs, so will throw out some more stuff.
Perhaps you could send Rita another invite and she can click on the link
How was the cruise Jo Jo. We went on one yunks ago, and would like to go on one, but they seem
so expensive.

Hi Jean and anyone else who manages to get in here. I looked at my last post and even found a way of editing that (as I found a couple of mistakes), so finding more about how to do things on here. I suppose if we think back, it was the same when we first started using Groupbox and took a lot of time getting used to it.
Jean see you are now coming to terms with the fact that you won't have Monty around for much longer, although he was much better this morning. Glad you found some bargains in Peacocks - well you may not have needed them, but as you liked them you went ahead and bought them - another clear out on the way. I am being good and not looking at the moment, although I did pass Peacocks this morning after I met Maria and put the trolley load into the lock up, but only went in Poundland and bought a couple of things I needed and then picked up the prescription that I had dropped off in Boots earlier. After that straight to the club where we had cottage pie for lunch, followed by apple pie and cream (not strictly a diet meal, but did only have a cup of coffee this morning, so think I can get away with those calories). Really trying very hard now to stick to a diet and just had a coffee since I got in and started on the crafting again. Sanded down a couple more things ready for painting and while I was at the club I did get some more designs cut out ready to decorate the items.
I won't worry Rita again at the moment, but perhaps will try again after she has had that next appointment at the hospital. I know Joan got on here before the holiday and hope she tries again and that Dian will soon feel better and get on here. I know Joy was getting on well, but she hasn't posted for a couple of days, so do hope she is okay. I will try Janet and Linda again, perhaps over the weekend when the sale is out of the way and Barbara who used to post on Joan Cutler's group has messaged me with details of a site she has just joined, apparently that Vork (who used to do the designs on the group) told her about and will explain to her that we now have this one if she wishes to join.
Well must away now and get back to the crafting and hope you are all having a pleasant afternoon.

Hi Jean and hello anyone who manages to post in here.
See you are wishing the B12 jab was sooner and hope David is feeling better now. Yes Vork was good on Joan C's site and Barbara got in touch with some more information from him and asked for your email address so she could give you the link to a site he has found. When I have more time I might join it and I have given her the info about this site in case she wants to join.
This morning I have been painting, pasting on decorations and waiting for the paint to dry on a couple of things so I can decorate them for the sale tomorrow. Also been making smoothies as determined to stick to the diet now.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good Morning Ladies.
First of all I am answering Joan and Jean with posting instructions and any of you seeing this should understand how to post in this group.
Click on reply, then hover your mouse over those symbols along the top of the posting box (it will come up in a little box what each one of them do). Click on "Host image" and up will come a large box - click on "Select files" and where you keep your photos and gifs on your computer should appear - choose what image you want and click on that and it will then appear in that box - to the right of that click on the blue up arrow and a choice appears - click on the middle choice of the three (looks like 2 black balloons), then come out of the box and click on "Preview" at the bottom of the posting box and your design will have appeared in the posting box. Now scroll back down and click "Preview" again and run your mouse over the top symbols on the posting box and choose what style font and colours you want - your cursor will be flashing away in the middle of these codes and all you have to do is start typing your message. When you have finished, scroll back down to "Preview" and you will see what your entire post looks like. If there are any alterations you want to make, then back down to "Preview", make your alterations in the preview box and click on "Preview" again. Once you are satisfied with the entire post then scroll to the bottom and press "Send".
I am now going to follow that procedure and see what this post looks like.
Also I have found out that once you have pressed send and your post appears, you can still do some alterations by pressing that pencil sign at the top right corner and you will be able to edit it.
If you go to your profile page you can choose what thumbnail size picture you want to represent you on every post by clicking on avatar along the top choices.
I am going to put those instructions under another thread entitled "How to Post"
Joan on my page HTML is off, BBCode is on and Smilies are on too - don't ask me what HTML means either, but all appears to be working okay for me. I do hope that sciatica clears soon for you, but I know there is no rushing that and see you hate going to bed at night because of the pain.
Jean, I see you got David to the doctors and know how he feels with the arthritis - can't say I feel that wonderful with this weather - and good that they can see him on Monday for an injection as they have a cancellation and hope he feels the benefit from that. See it was a struggle for you with the bowling and getting to Tescos due to the trouble with your feet. That is sad news about your Uncle, but you didn't think he would be getting out of hospital - problems for you at the moment with neither of you able to do long drives - hope you can sort it out with Paul.
Well we had a very good sale yesterday and took enough money to pay back our funds for what I had to pay out on brooches for resale (and they went so well and after our money came back they still raised a lot of profit for the charity funds and in fact we mainly sold more jewellery than anything else yesterday), so £120 raised for the charities.
It is so windy and dull this morning, so it is mainly indoor work for me today and I do have a lady arriving between 3 and 3.30 to bring me some items ready for our next sale and I must order some more printing inks today, ready to print out the posters for the next sale - that is why we have to keep so much money back to cover things like that, printing paper and the inks, items to buy and the public liability insurance. Home tomorrow also, so hope it is more gardening type weather.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
