Hello Everyone - Page 31 Empty Re: Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone - Page 31 N4c50x10  Good morning Ladies.

Yesterday I did get the illumini fleeced for the winter, cut that last branch from the Eucalyptus tree and cut that lot smaller and that is now in the sack to keep dry ready for burning.  Also fed the last Iris planter that still needed it and then placed all of the four iris planters near the front of that stone corner and under the Eucalyptus (having sorted the ground under it and put some of the larger rocks for them to stand on), where they will get plenty of sun that they need, because none of them did well this year (too shady where they were).  Fed the cherry trees and added some fresh earth and fibre in those planters.  All they need now is spraying with that protective oil that I used last year to stop that black cherry beetle, but that has to be done on a dry day soon.  Managed to collect a few more wooden items that needed drying ready for attention and put them on the spare shelving and covered the top of that with a black sack to protect them from the rain. There is more to do next week if I get the chance, but at least finished all I needed to do yesterday and the tree lopper can be put away, so that is something.

Today I intended to start blitzing the indoors and that worked out well because the dry weather disappeared and it is raining today and I am happy to stay in and do a large clearance downstairs at least.

Dian, yes I am happy with what I have got done so far in the garden and as you say, should lead to far less work in the Spring and now today will see what I can do for the indoor clearance.  Another wet, windy miserable day for you yesterday and you were pleased to stay indoors and I was lucky getting that last dry day to complete what I needed to do yesterday, but that weather has arrived here today, although not windy, so happy to stay indoors like you were yesterday.  Hope you have now managed to find those Christmas lights and can get on with the decorations.

Jean I have just answered your email and you certainly did pick the wrong day to start tackling those leaves again - too much rain today to do anything outside.  I know also that you and Rita would have liked to be at the service if circumstances had been different, but know you will both be thinking about Gennie on Friday.  Apparently Heather has nearly finished with the clearance and will be going back to Manchester at the weekend.  It would be good if you had that loft ladder, but David has never been talked into geting one - perhaps one of the family can get that tree down for you and pleased to read that you have found the Christmas socks, but still no hope with regard to the DVDs, but you never know - have you seen them since last Christmas, because they could be in that loft  Wink. Oh yes, I am definitely indoors today as you can see from what I have posted above and luckily had planned it that way, so worked quickly to get the more urgent stuff finished outdoors yesterday.

Rita hope things are going well for you this week and expect you have been using that new carpet sweeper and feeling glad you go that. Do hope you have managed to get something arranged with the Dentist because as you say "all you want for Christmas is your front tooth"  Very Happy.

I have just eaten some toast with a cup of hot chocolate for a late breakfast/early lunch and here I go with the blitz on the downstairs.  Have a good day everyone free of any further problems.

see this has gone twice, so you see Rita. I am having trouble as well.
Found out from s friend that her hearing aids cost £2500. How many people can afford that

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Empty Re: Hello Everyone

Thu Nov 26, 2020 1:07 pm
Hello Everyone - Page 31 M8lhib10    Hi Ladies.  Well the same as Rita said, it was one of those days for me too.  I started on the huge tidy up of downstairs and that meant getting all of the tools and equipment needed for the garden (which had been stood in crates in the dining room) back in their correct places, because a lot now won't be needed until the Spring, but also making sure that everything went back tidily where it was supposed to be (particularly making it easier to reach things in that understairs cupboard).  I then looked at the plants I had brought indoor and decided that at least 5 of the begonias weren't going to do very well, so they had to go (I still have about 10 doing well and the geraniums are fine) - anyway got that sorted and some of the fresh potting fibre from them I used to repot the three Christmas cacti and they look much better for that (only 1 spider plant left to repot now) and got the flowerpots outside, with the roots that hadn't taken put in the compost and that left me with a few plant pot holders to clean out and then it happened - I knocked three of them over and one had thick black water from the fibre in it and over it went onto the carpet.  It has taken quite a bit of carpet cleaner and elbow grease to light that and still needs work done on it later.   Anyway apart from that I am getting on very well with the tidy up and claiming back the downstairs of my home - suppose I will get it in a tip again when I get out the Christmas decorations next week.  I also shredded a lot of paperwork and filed other things, plus sorted out the finances for the end of the month, so quite a lot achieved.

The picnic tables are still up in the kithen area, but I can move around them easily and the ornaments, etc., still waiting for attention, are all neatly stacked and I can get on with that work now I have more time away from heavy garden work, but will also continue with the cutting back next week of the ivy, etc.

Today I am down to the actual dusting and vacuuming with just a few more things to get back in the cupboard and later on got my hair to shampoo and set ready for tomorrow. Work on the computer has been so slow this morning, but have got up-to-date with emails and surveys and now thankfully got to here, but the slow down was caused by my virus checker going through security checks and updating one of the modules and thankfully now all is much faster since that finished.  I did start this just after 11, but had to keep waiting for a bit more speed from the pc and now it has gone midday.

Heather has sent me a link and after about 7 days there will be a video of the service available - apparently no live links are allowed at the moment due to virus restrictions, but when that is ready I will put the link on here.

Rita you can see from above I had a bit of a problem day yesterday, what with that spillage and with posting this morning as I had to cope with slow speeds.  Anyway I do hope things go better for you today and if you post, you won't get it flying off into cyber space this time.

Jean, well done you this morning with tackling a lot of the leaves - so frosty, but nice and sunny now and see you have had to do that by yourself this time, as David isn't able to do it this year.  I know as you say, one of the boys would have done it for you, but we just don't like worrying others to do things - what an independent lot we are, but just brought up that way.  I see those Dvds went missing when the clear out was going on for the new carpets to go down - shame they got lost, but you think they went with the books.  Years ago my Mum bought the Hidden Hearing deaf aids, because at the time the NHS weren't dealing with digital aids (although they do now), but I can tell you that although they cost £1800 for the pair at that time, it was well worth the purchase of them from that company.  All the time she had them there were regular 6 monthly checks to see if anything needed altering and as she had osteoporosis even the bones of the ear alter and they had to be regularly adjusted - great service from that company and that was all included in the original purchase price, the only things she had to buy were the batteries.  She once said they were the best buy she had ever made and I had to laugh at the time, because it was quite an arguement between me and her to make her get them. She bought them because she got the mobility and attendance allowance and I had to point out that was to help with the purchase of things like that, to make life easier for her.  She also bought her mobility scooter and wheelchair out of that money.

Dian I know I have done a lot of work with that garden, but can assure you that I am always so careful these days and go slowly with jobs, but get there in the end. Tomorrow is going to be a sad day, but got to be faced and am looking forward to going back with Stephen and Rachel to Rugby for the night.  Like you, I will miss Gennie for a long time, like you miss that friend of yours you were so close to - see that was a year ago now and it hasn't helped with this year being so depressing and worrying for everyone with that virus.  Who would have though back last year that we would have that to cope with. Hope you managed to get rid of more leaves as it was sunny weather your way yesterday.

Must get a move on now ladies with the duster and the vacuum cleaner and finish getting downstairs back to rights.  Hope the day goes well for you all.

Well ladies, I am coping, but  "it's just one d.. Thing after another" but then That is Life!
The builder next door has put up a fence 2 inches next to my wire boundary fence which was covered with Ivy and shrubs but had open field on his side so now he has cut back anything which went to his side and consequently killed off most of the green of mine.   I was out clearing away and cutting the Ivy when my back gave way, I had my walking sticks handy so managed to straighten up and get back into the house  I am used to it and know how to rest it, but the leaves will have to just stay out on the path for a while now.
Then I had phone text from my Bank querying a large amount taken out, so I had to get back to them and they are querying it for me. Worrying?mmmm!

Jean, it's puzzling when we mislay stuff we know we have, look everywhere and still lost. Bedford is in area 2 of lockdown so no change here  I hope it wil be better for you in Northsnts then you can see your family.

Dian, yes, just got to let the leaves blend naturally now into the  plants and soil.  I hope you are not "locked in" in your area, it varies so much in different parts of the country.

Pauline, how maddeningly upsetting that would be spilling all that water and soil on your carpet. Frustrating trying to get it all off. Grr you could have done without that

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Yjgfhw10  Hello Ladies.

Well at last yesterday claimed back all of downstairs and now looking more like my home (upstairs can wait until I get back).  Got the last things to put into the bag for staying in Rugby this evening and now got to get myself ready for the funeral today.  Such a sad day and thank you for your thoughts about the loss of Gennie.

Jean see your back is still not too good and you were getting ready to go out with Coco - taking it slowly and have answered your email and will say that prayer for you at the service and thank you for your thoughts.

Rita -  Yes, your post appeared.   Thank you for your email and thoughts too.  Not very helpful of that builder chopping away at your plants when he put his fence up and hope they will survive again for you and see you spent a lot of time clearing up after his damage.  Another day when things didn't go too well for you - as you say "one darn thing after another" and your back giving up on you while you were doing all of the clearing - thankfully you managed to straighten up and get back indoors and do hope all is well with that today and just don't do anything else to make that worse at the moment - outdoors can take care of itself.  What a worry about that message from your bank and have you learned anything further about that - hope the bank can sort that out for you quickly.  I think we were in area 3 before, but now like a lot of us, Northampton is in area 2. Gradually the stain is getting lighter where the flowerpot went over, but a bit more work needed on it still.

Dian I did do quite a bit of growling when that flower pot went over and have done another lot of cleaning and that area is getting better at last, but as I said to Rita, more work required on it until I am satisfied that it has disappeared..  See your leaves have been dealt with at last on a dry day, but still bitterly cold with frost in the morning, but there will still be some lurking under shrubs and same with me - plenty still to clear from the pots and planters.  Thank you too for your thoughts for me today. Washing done today after stripping your bed and shame your daughter has had to cover for another person who was sick and you can't go shopping today with her, but will do that on Sunday when she is available - hope you have enough items to last until then.

Must away now ladies and get myself ready and Maria will be here at 3.15 ready for Stephen and Rachel to pick us up and I will find out from her if she has now heard from the doctor at the hospital.  Will be back tomorrow, but maybe late, so will post again on Sunday and let you know how everything went.  Have a good weekend all of you.

Good news. Long conversation with Bank and I think all will be well.  The amount taken out was £69+' it is on my credit card and that is covered. Nowadays with cash not welcomed I pay all with the card and then my regular Bank automatically pays it off each month, so no worries about going in person to the Bank in town.
Have done nothing today as back still sore but  it takes time and I will get some leaves cleared on Monday as that is the last day the Council will collect the garden bins this year.     I am settled now used to not seeing anyone, that is the way it is, got to accept it, and actually it's probably always been the same for old folk like me just having to stay in except for going for groceries.
The internet is marvellous that we can keep in touch this way.
Last night  my bedroom curtains were so bright I got up to see what the light could be. It was brilliant moonlight and frost on the trees, beautiful, but I quickly got back into my warm bed.
Bye ladies, have a good weekend,  I don't expect to see anyone and back is not good for walking out yet.

Yes I think all will be well now with the Bank. I hope they will email or text me to verify,
I am on laptop computer and trying to adjust letter size etc hence all the different bits on here and as I said I hope all will be well with the Bank and that strange amount taken from my account.

Jean,  I have nothing personal against the builder man next door he seems very nice, it is just he is doing what he is legally entitled to do in removing anything which is growing over onto his property.  I must say though I will be pleased when he does get those two houses built    he only has one bungalow finished and is now putting on gates but there is all the space around to have paving or gravel on and then a fence and maybe some trees trimmed (they are  not allowed to cut down entirely) separating them from the woodland. I hope your back is easing, I am being careful but have done a bit of exercise today hope it will help with mine as I do need to get out and sweep up leaves from the path before the last bin collection on Tuesday.  I have arranged to have the gutters etc cleared on 5th December.

Dian, your daughter would be tired doing longer hours.  You would be pleased to see your gardener, he would be able to get on with those jobs which do need more strength than we have and you will be all tidied up for the bad weather, do you usually have snow up there? take care with your back too.

Pauline, I hope you were able to relax and enjoy your time with Stephen and Rachel after saying goodbye to Gennie.

I should go and start  making some dinner, I took out pork chops, but could not separate them so had to defrost the lot which now will all be cooked and then some frozen again for later.

It seems more people getting confused as to who they can see or be with. although I do find it very lonely I will be content and thankful to be safe here on my own, warm and cosy and no worries about having to go anywhere

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Zccwud10   Hi Ladies, got home later than intended, but have got up-to-date with emails and surveys, unpacked my bag, got a light meal and am off for a bath and bed and will hopefully catch up on some recorded t v before I fall asleep.  Got the shopping list ready for tomorrow, but have already done some shopping in Poundland and B & M while I was out with Rachel this morning when she went to collect her glasses that she now needs.

Everything went so well at the service yesterday and know that everyone was happy with the goodbye to Gennie, but will tell you more tomorrow and read your posts and answer properly, as I am a bit tired tonight.  Hope you all have a peaceful night xxx

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Empty Re: Hello Everyone

Sun Nov 29, 2020 12:47 pm
Hello Everyone - Page 31 Ud1uef11  This morning is very still and quiet out there - bit misty and not many people about yet.  I am up-to-date with surveys and emails and have done the washing and that is drying indoors and got the shopping list ready for my trip to the centre later this morning.

First of all there is a tale to tell about the flowers that Rachel was arranging for the funeral - she went to the couple who have a stall in the small market area of Rugby that sell plants and fresh flowers, because she knew that the lady there made some lovely displays for special occasions and explained to her what we needed in Jamaican colours of yellow, green and black and chose a heart design.  A couple of days after ordering this the lady phoned her and said that a complaint had been made by the florist that had a shop further along the road and the council had taken away their licence.  How mean was that florist, because they have the shop, internet, interflora, etc., to make their money from and there was nothing that the stall holder had done to break their licence from the council, but the council upheld the complaint from the florist and took the market trading licence away from them, so they have lost their pitch and now have to pay for all of the plants and flowers that they had ordered and have had to let people down whose orders they were supplying.  They are now at a complete loss with nowhere to trade and bills to pay for plants and flowers they now cannot use.  She phoned Rachel and explained everything to her and asked her just one thing, please don't order from the florist that had caused all of the trouble for her and Rachel certainly agreed with that one. Anyway there was then only a short time left to get anything done, but Rachel found a florist that could supply the colours, but it had to be a spray of flowers and not the design she had asked for.  Well it turned out to be a good thing, because Heather told us that her godmother was ill and couldn't attend the funeral and would we mind if she gave those flowers to her and we certainly had no objection to that - nice to know they were going to someone who was close to Gennie.  Here is a photo of the spray and Rachel had also added that ribbon with the rows of Jamaican flags on it:-

Hello Everyone - Page 31 P1130426

She also managed to order some masks for us with the Jamaican flag on, which was a nice thought, which we wore at the funeral.  Here is the poem I had to read and before doing this I did say that we moved to Northampton 41 years ago and there couldn't have been a better friend or neighbour that we had moved next to and I was happy that Heather had asked me to read these words:-

Hello Everyone - Page 31 3_5x5_10

and here is a copy of the front and back of the order of service with two lovely photos of Gennie (by the way that is the spelling she always put on her cards to me):-

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Img20212

Outside after the service a lady came to speak to me and I realised it was the sister of the old dialysis unit (on the Harborough Road) that Andrew used to attend and she was the lady who Gennie was very close to and used to hand the funds we had raised for them to her.  She had emailed me before in the past, but I had never met her and she thanked me for reading that poem for Gennie and said that Gennie was always talking about me, Maria and Cathy (who we have also lost) and how hard we worked to raise those funds for the unit and how she had enjoyed those outings with us all when we had the lunches together.  That was really nice of her to let me know that.

Well it was nice spending the evening and night in Rugby and we went there straight after taking Maria home and I have just spoken to her this morning and we both said what a nice service it was.

Well that is a lengthy post so far and got to admit it took me quite a while to get my scanner working on the order of service and get it copied and filed where I could work on it easily to get the size I wanted for here, but achieved that in the end.

Rita what a relief that has all been sorted with the bank, but with them not being used to you using that card so much, it was good of them to enquire, when larger amounts were being used on it.  Good to know they have their eye on the ball, so to say.  If you back is still sore, don't bother about the leaves, because they can always stay in the bin until the collections start again next year.  Yes, we do have to be thankful for the internet and the connection we can make with one another because of it, because these long periods of lockdowns and lack of contact with other people can be so depressing, but like you, we can all be thankful for our warm homes in the bleak weather and still be in contact with others.  Two nights last week we had thick frost here and both of those nights I saw the gritters passing my house and on the way to Rugby on Friday they were out then and spraying all of the cars they went past with grit - not good for the paintwork on the cars, but badly needed for the roads.  I know you were trying to alter the size of the fonts on your last message when you were using the laptop and it is frustrating for you at the time, not being able to cope with that, but not to worry, when I got home yesterday I did get the colour and font size seen to for you.  See you have arranged to get the gutter cleared on 5th, so that will be another job done for the winter.  It was nice being able to spend the evening in Rugby with the family after the funeral and Rachel had bought a lovely candle with words on it for a friend and we lit that and will use that again at Christmas in Gennie's memory.  That was a nuisance having to defrost all of the pork chops and ending up cooking all of them.  That is the trouble with food like that when it is frozen - really difficult to separate.

Dian that was handy the weather being quite good yesterday which enabled the gardener to get a good start on the front and hope he got the back garden finished for you, so that is now okay for the winter and seeing as your back is still playing up, it is a good thing there won't be much for you to do outside now.   As you can see from above, it all went so well with the funeral, but thankful that is now over and we can just have our good memories of Gennie still.  See you got the washing dry and that sounds nice and cosy - the fleece bedding you have for your bed and enjoyed a good sleep in that. Hope the shopping trip goes well today with your daughter to make up for the other one you both had to miss when she had to cover for another colleague who wasn't well.

Jean, I had to look up the info about the Liverpool pathway that you mentioned - I hadn't come across that expression before, but that suggestion that has been made just sounds very cold and clinical and I was so pleased that Heather was allowed to be with Gennie in the hospital for her last hours - which is something that the relatives of the covid patients that were passing,  weren't allowed to do. Apparently when Gennie was taken in the doctors and nursing staff did confirm with her that if the worst happened then she had said she didn't want resuscitation and Gennie confirmed that and said to let her go.  That is the trouble in the Care and Nursing homes, that other residents are only too aware of how many people pass away and your Aunt mentioned this when you spoke to her recently and even at our ages, we get bad news regularly of losing our friends.  I feel that I have had too many recent visits to our crematoriun in the last few years.

I must away now ladies and get myself ready to get out to the centre and try and get there before 2 - later than I planned, but giving me enough time to get the shopping done that I need.  Hope you all have a good Sunday afternoon and evening.

it looks like a lovely service and nice reading you had to give. how awful of that florist to get the market traders taken out of their stall. they must be feeling the pinch and watching everything
I hope you got all the info about the Liverpool pathway, when patients were denied even a drink and some drank the flower water.
My back is still playing up and the leaves will have to stay there until it is better. using the tens machine which usually works in a few days
Dian my gardener had to go in for a hernia op/ just before his last winter visit. hopefully he said he might be able to come and clear up later.etc.
Rita I love pork chops. do not have many though

Hello Everyone - Page 31 H_l_gl11  Good afternoon Ladies.
I am getting fed up with the number of Black Friday emails still coming through and now followed by Cyber Monday and those telling me I can still get bargains if I missed them on the day - I missed them because I don't want them  Rolling Eyes.

What I am typing now, just shows you how many people buy on those days, when in fact the bargains aren't what you are lead to believe and you would be better off waiting for the normal January sales.  Rachel was chasing Currys and this Saturday when problem was finally solved, there wasn't a laptop in the size wanted (of any brand) in that store or the central warehouse.  Rachel had bought a laptop for Beth and also paid an extra £80 for an extended warranty, that on checking did say that if anything went wrong they should have been offered a replacement immediately.  Well they weren't and it was sent back for repair.  Now that particular laptop is no longer stocked by Currys because it isn't repairable and it was the charging facility that had gone wrong and all of Beth's university work is on there and she has a deadline to get this in.  Eventually this got sorted on Saturday on the phone with a Customers Sales person who knew what she was doing.  She told Rachel that the heap of scrap was being returned to the store on Wednesday when she herself would be on duty and told Rachel to go in there on that day with another laptop or memory stick and their technical man would transfer all of the work on the harddrive for her.  Even if she had managed to buy another laptop with another retailer they would still do this.  What Rachel will do is probably take in one of the spare laptops from her company so that work can be put on there temporarily so Beth can get on with this and then when they find a suitable one (even if it comes from another company) the work can be transferred to that (and Rachel can do that herself) and then take the new laptop into Currys and they will then load the Microsoft Excel licence onto this (which they had paid a further year for), plus honour the extended warranty until that expires.  Rachel said she will probably wait until they can see the offers in the January sales and get the size they need and then go back for the remainder of the job to be finished.  Just shows you what can be done if you stand your ground and eventually find the right person who does their job correctly and knows what they are doing.

Jean, it certainly is a horrible dull day and rain here and there, so I am getting on with jobs indoors.  Yes that was a lovely service and Stephen said really gentle and dignified. We certainly don't need any of that lot with regard to the Liverpool Pathway - like one of those horrible futuristic films about reducing population and to be honest, this present virus has done enough of that.  Hope the tens machine has started doing its work for you and the back pain is easing, but see you cannot sit long in the chair at the computer from what you said today and see that David has a return of the gout - not good weather with the dampness for any aches and pains.  Do hope your gardener will soon be able to get back to his work after healing from the op and finish your garden for you.

Dian see you enjoyed the shopping trip with your daughter and then off to lunch at your granddaughter's, followed later with dinner at your daughter's and bringing home some of that for your meal today. Yes, totally uncaring and mean of that florists, because they have far more ways open to them to trade.

Rita, just wondering if your back is much better - hope it is.

Lunch next for me and then on with the indoor jobs and might just get the tree and decorations out - Rachel emailed me yesterday and send me a photo of her decorated tree yesterday and of course, the cats were involved, investigating a new tree Smile.  Hope you all have a pleasant afternoon and evening.

Pauline, what a worry about Beth's Uni work, Rachel did well getting some sense out of Currys. On TV there were seversl people complaining about computers going wrong and delivery etc fromCurrys.
Your brief stay  with Rachel and Stephen would be welcome break for you. The flowers which you managed to get were best  in the end OK after all the worry of the Florist. How mean the shop florists are not even to let market ones fulfil their orders.  It was a privilege for you to read that poem for Gennie.
Dian, it will be a treat for you having lovely meals with your family.  The greyhound will appreciate  the loving care it receives and will be so affectionate in return.
Jean,  backache does make us feel poorly but it will ease eventually. Poor David, if he has Gout that is an agonising pain, takes ages to get well from it.
Well I am still worried about my bank credit card. Twice have had phone calls which I cannot make sense of, they tslk so quickly and, as you know, I have great difficulty in hearing.  Bank is sending me a new card and they have emailed me to expect it.  I have tried to get my Bank details up on computer but been refused, so tomorrow morning I must try to contact Bank again and solve problems.
My outside light which should only come on if there is movement but last night I was disturbed in bed because it constantly turned on and then off, finally I got up at 5  and had some tea and toast and went back to bed when it was daylight.  So that is something else to be sorted out.

Hello Everyone - Page 31 Pfgyzv11   Just nearly finished my post and off it flew into cyber space and not to be found anywhere, so here we go again.

Seeing as it is Dec 1st I thought I would put a festive gif on here this morning.

Yesterday never did get around to getting out the tree and decorations, but must do that today.  Spent a lot of time on paperwork and working out finances, painted a few more ornaments and then spent more time on Sainsbury's website than I would have done walking around their large store on the other side of the town from me, but put an order through for next Tuesday and had a good look at the electric kettles (as I needed a new one), so got one coming with that order.

More bad news about the High Street with Arcadia going into admin and all of those employees losing their jobs and wonder how big a hole will be in their pension fund due to that corrupt millionaire "Sir" Philip Green, who got his hooks into so many companies under one umbrella and the umbrella collapses in the storm.  There he is lounging on his yacht in a tax free haven, having avoided paying his UK tax bill and all of those employees now losing their jobs and facing a bleak future.  I know I shouldn't be thinking that way, but I have visions of another corrupt millionaire Maxwell, who fell (or was he pushed???)  off of his yacht, after defrauding so many people.  Growling.....  Also I see that the offer for Debenhams has been withdrawn by the Sports Direct owner, because Debenhams will now lose out because a lot of their shop space has been used by the Arcadia group shops, so they will lose the income from that - domino affect.

Dian, see you are still getting the waste of time phone calls - such a nuisance for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for Rachel tomorrow and hope the transfer of Beth's work goes okay off of that hard drive - we never do seem free of problems for long.   That was lucky getting around HB while it was fairly quiet, but still a bit of a problem getting out of the car park after that.  See you enjoyed that dinner last evening and that sounded nice - I ended up with beans on toast as decided it better be back to eating light to see if I can keep the weight down before Chrismas.  Lovely to read how different your granddaughter's greyhound now is, so relaxed and happy.  I hope I have got this right and managed the link showing a short video of Tilly inspecting the tree.  When you tap on the link a box should open up asking to open in Film and Video and click on okay and the video should play:-

https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0?ui=2&ik=bbda03566b&attid=0.2&permmsgid=msg-f:1684719179056051533&th=1761532ad5ec754d&view=att&disp=safe

Rita that is still a worry the problem with the bank and I know you don't like worrying the family, but please ask Peter to get you to the bank to sort things out with them directly, as you cannot understand the phone calls clearly and while you are there, perhaps it would be a good idea to arrange a Debit card to use for shopping and then instead of a monthly bill being dealt with, the money is switched there and then when you do any shopping and can be used on the internet too.  Hope you are lucky with that, like I hope Rachel is tomorrow with the transfer of Beth's work. Another problem for you to deal with as the sensor light seems to be going on and off when it shouldn't.  We never do seem to be free of problems for very long. Yes that spray of flowers worked out better in the end as it went to Heather's godmother, so one hiccup for us turned out well.  Hope your back is okay after that mishap in the garden at the weekend.

Jean you too, with regard to the back trouble and as Rita says, that gout that David has is so painful.  I can remember that when I was young, my friend's dad used to get flare ups of that in his foot and he could even feel the pain if the floor vibrated near his foot.

Well ladies I must away, as after losing the first post, it has taken me longer than I expected to be on here, so I must get that tree (or maybe 2) out of the cupboard and the decorations and make the place look a bit more festive.  Hope you all can get through the day without any further problems arriving and sort those out that you already have.
